Have an event for the Humber Bridge?

This guide explains how community groups, organisations and event organisers can apply to host events at the Humber Bridge estate. It outlines the application process, timescales, restrictions, approval stages, and contact information for enquiries.

Can I hold an event at the Humber Bridge?

Yes – the Humber Bridge Board welcomes applications from local groups and organisations that want to stage events on the bridge estate. All event requests are reviewed individually with consideration for safety, impact and suitability. We’re always excited to welcome local groups and organisations to stage their events at the Humber Bridge.

Please note
  • Events are not permitted on the road/highway itself. Activities must remain on the footpaths and surrounding estate only.
  • Due to the ongoing project to raise the barriers on the footpaths, we are not currently permitting events that take place on the footpaths. Find out more.

Application Process

Our events application process is open and transparent, with each event reviewed individually and careful consideration is given to the event’s potential impact on the bridge and the surrounding estate

To make sure everything goes smoothly and safely, please follow the process below. Let’s work together to create something great!

How to begin

Please use the Contact Form for any initial event inquiries. After reviewing your submission, we may request further details to assess if your event can be hosted at the Bridge.

Upon review, your event will receive ‘pre-approval’, which means your event can go ahead in principle, pending any additional requirements or actions from you (which will be clearly outlined in our response). Full approval will only be granted once all conditions are met.

Your event cannot go ahead until full approval is received.

How much notice to give

We’re here to help, but please allow enough time for us to review and approve your request. The more complex the event, the more notice we’ll need. Check out the timeline below to get an idea of the minimum notice required based on event size (this is a non-exhaustive list):

Event Size Minimum Notice
1 person 4 weeks prior
2 - 49 people 6 weeks prior
50 - 99 people 8 weeks prior
100+ people 16 weeks+ prior
