SPEED LIMITS
SPEED LIMITS MAY VARY DEPENDING ON ROAD WORKS.
Southbound: When exiting the roundabout the current speed limit is 40mph. As the Open Road Toll lane approaches the speed limit decreases to 30mph through the toll plaza, as you reach the main flow of the Humber Bridge the speed limit increases to 50mph until the exit onto the national speed limit dual carriageway.
Northbound: When travelling from the A15 dual carriageway, the national speed limit applies. As you approach the Humber Bridge the speed limit decreases to 50mph, upon reaching the northside as the Open Road Toll lane approaches the limit decreases again to 30mph, once you’ve passed through the toll plaza the speed limit increases to 40mph leading on to the roundabout.
BREAKDOWNS AND ACCIDENTS
The Control team monitors the Humber Bridge 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. If you break down or have an accident a member of the Control team will come to your assistance as soon as they are able.

LIVE TRAFFIC INFORMATION
Live traffic information, along the approach to the bridge, is supplied by National Highways. Road users are provided with information about road conditions, providing advanced warning of roadworks, accidents, bad weather conditions, and road closures.
CURRENT OR UPCOMING MAINTENANCE WORKS
The Humber Bridge is over 40 years old and was designed to last for 120 years. As the bridge approaches the second part of its design life it requires more maintenance work to be completed.
Occasionally the maintenance tasks we carry out whilst caring for the Bridge require us to close parts to traffic or pedestrians. We may have to introduce traffic controls. We aim to keep disruption to a minimum, scheduling works for off-peak times. Scheduled maintenance activities, including any partial closures of the Humber Bridge, are listed below.
