Humber Bridge Business Customers

This page explains how Humber Bridge business customers can manage tolls and set up accounts for cheaper crossings and managing multiple vehicles with ease. Whether you’re a fleet manager or business owener, you’ll find clear instructions and tools to make toll payments smooth and efficient.

What’s Changed?

Humber Bridge Toll, our new payment system, became fully operational on Monday, 2nd February 2026.

Previously, business users paid to cross the Humber Bridge as a guest – either by paying by card at the toll booths or online after their crossing – or they had a HumberTag account.

Humber Bridge Toll brings major improvements to how to cross the bridge and manage your account, and there are some changes that are important to understand.

  • If you cross the Humber Bridge as a guest, please click here to learn more about the changes that will affect you.
  • If you previously paid for crossings through a HumberTag account, the good news is your account will have automatically transferred to the new system.

Did you know?

Humber Bridge Toll enables you to manage up to 2,000 vehicles from a single account, which can be uploaded in bulk from an excel spreadsheet.

You can top-up your account via our website, our new Humber Bridge App for Apple and Android, or automated telephone payment line on 01482 235500.

When do crossings appear on your account?

Toll fees are deducted from your Humber Bridge Toll Account balance two days after travel. Your crossings can be seen in the transaction section of your account dashboard. To be clear, that’s not just the new system catching up with itself, that’s how it will be going forward. Please be assured – it’s nothing to worry about. The consolidation of crossings, balance updates, low-balance warnings, and auto top-ups are all synced on the same timeframe – which means no one will be disadvantaged, no erroneous admin fees.

We’ve added some guides on how to do various things on your account. We’ll continue to add to this over time.

Quick Questions and Answers

No. During the launch, we automatically transferred your account over to the new Humber Bridge Toll system, along with your credit balance, company information, and vehicle details.

We were unable to copy over any crossing or transaction history. We were also unable to carry over any auto top-up that you had in place. You will need to set that back up once you access your Humber Bridge Toll account for the first time.

No. Accounts with a negative balance were not migrated to a Humber Bridge Toll account and you do not have access to discounted crossings.

No. Now that the new system has launched, tags are no longer needed.

You may return your HumberTag to us. Alternatively you can dispose of it sustainably at your local recycling centre. Any active TAG deposits at the go-live have been automatically added to your Humber Bridge Toll account balance.

To access your new account, you will need to create a new username and password, as well as accepting a new set of T&Cs. This would also be a good time to re-enter your auto top-up.

Business users can register up to 2,000 vehicles on a single account, including adding vehicles in bulk from an Excel spreadsheet using the new bulk upload feature.

Please ensure that the vehicle category is correct.

Humber Bridge Toll is a “pay as you cross” system, so it’s vital to keep your account in credit. Under the new system, accounts will no longer be able to run with a negative balance. If you cross the bridge with insufficient credit to cover your toll, you’ll have until midnight the next day to add more funds. At midnight, an Unpaid Toll Notification will be triggered, with an admin fee of £25 plus the toll that’s owed.

We highly recommend you take advantage of the auto top-up feature – just set it up once and you never have to worry about running out of credit. If you’re unable to set up auto top-up from your credit or debit card, you can set up a regular standing order straight from your bank to your Humber Bridge Toll account. But be careful, bank transfers and standing orders aren’t an instant top-up. Due to bank processing times, they can take up to three days to reach your business account.

We’ve put together some step by step instructions on how to set up auto top-up on your account.

You can open a Humber Bridge Toll Account, add credit, to pay for future journeys AND crossings that you have already made if they are still within the payment window (by midnight the following day)

Please be aware that crossings may not appear on your account straight away.

When you access the Transaction History on your Humber Bridge Toll account, the system automatically defaults to All Transactions. This view shows the date that the crossing was added to your account – not the date you actually crossed the bridge.

To view your actual crossing dates:

  • Go to Transaction History
  • Change the drop-down to Toll Transactions
  • Click Search

It can take a few days for crossings to appear and for your balance to update. As long as your account has enough credit to cover the crossings you’ve made, you’re all set.
